Highly versatile with endless combinations. The Teema-dishes are a classic! This status justifies not only the success which the dishes still celebrate, but also its plain elegance and versatility. Already in 1952 the design, out of which later Teema was made of, made the designer Kaj Franck to one of the most famous designers of Scandinavia. The particularity of Teema was and still is its versatility. Entitled by the manufacturer Iittala itself as "meaningful simplicity", Teema surrenders on any ornaments and decorations and is only reduced to the necessary. Circles, squares, and rectangles are the basic forms, which Kaj Franck found so irresistible, that Teema became to theme. The colours should only be the single decorations of the dish. Everything else would deflect the object. This simplicity is the basic for another Teema characteristic: it can be combined however you like – one over another, and also beyond its borders. Without any problems Teema can be combined and replenished with Origo, Kartio or the glass of Aino Aalto. There will never emerge the impression that the single parts could not fit together. With that, Teema complies with the individual wishes of everyone and leaves space for personal display. An endless number of different services is possible with a limited number of dishes. Teema is anti-freezing, ovenproof and microwave safe as well as dishwasher safe.
